TRYING TO LOVE THE GARDEN!

What have I been doing…..well, here’s a hint”
GARDENS = HARD WORK
*
*
Here is small portion of our many raspberry bushes.
*

*
Raspberry bushes bring my fear of grasshoppers to the front of my mind.
Every year while picking …..I seem to get a large grasshopper got in my hair!!!
I HATE THEM…..worse than snakes!

*
My husband just thinks it makes me tougher.
No…..just meaner!

~HAPPY DAY~

You just have to love the rain. I hope it keeps on raining. It means that I don’t have to go out & weed the garden! At least for now. I am trying really hard, to have the same genuine enthusiam that my husband gets every year, with his gardens harvest. It just doesn’t have the same effect for me.
*
The reason: He plants this huge garden, & I take care of it. Last night I was out picking peas. Don’t get me wrong, I love eating fresh peas! He plants far too many though, and then I’m shelling, blanching & bagging them for weeks. He’s most proud of his ever growing raspberry patch. It multiplies every year, and that makes him exceedingly happy. Me……..exceedingly more annoyed! Yes…I also like raspberries, but I’m the picker, cleaner, freezer lady.

He just smiles at me and asks……..”What else do you have to do!” You just gotta love husbands.

Last night, while shelling those remarkable peas, I could not help but notice the glorious sunset radiating through my now dirty windows. I don’t have a great camera, and I don’t yet know how to fix photos, but it still looks pretty. Here it is:

This is what we saw in the front yard, at about 6:15 this morning.
A beautiful double rainbow, settled over my house.
I even ran outside in my skivees to catch this picture.
Hopefully the neighbors weren’t quite awake!

And Finally, the green view from my deck.

Imagine ………What I could do with photo’s if I had a great camera!
*That was meant for my husband – hint, hint!
