Recession or Depression?

As I watch the news, or read the paper, my heart rate seems to rise, like the morning sun. So many have lost their jobs, and their once warm homes…are now cold!
*
Harry Truman once said: “It’s a recession when your neighbor loses his job,” and it’s a depression when you lose your own.”

I wonder, does our net worth determine our happiness? What constitutes the good life?
*
I’m afraid I’m often guilty of thinking that MORE is MORE! I think that most of us are really quite spoiled. If that ruffles your feathers at all, then….you are probably, just like me…..SPOILED.

What are we willing to give up? Our Dish? The Internet? Cell phones? Eating out? Movies?…..the list could go on and on.

Isn’t it funny, what we now think are necessities! Yes….I’m also guilty. It’s inventory time in this world. I’m doing my own right now, on my life’s assets:
*
(1) My health
(2) A wonderful husband
(3) Beautiful & happy children & grandchildren
(4) Cherished parents, brothers & sisters
(5) Our Home
(6) Plenty of Food
(7) Good friends
*
My list could go on and on.

I THINK I’M A VERY RICH PERSON INDEED!
