For the last couple of days, I’ve been trying to get my brain to understand MANUAL MODE. I have a very nice Nikon D-90, that I’d really like to be able to use properly. I’m finally learning about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. It takes older brains a little longer to grasp these concepts. Slowly but surely, I’m starting to get it. I still have a long way to go! I’ve been asking a lot of questions to my photographer Daughters, and trying to snap a lot of pictures. Here is what I have so far.

Our Raspberry bushes

an UP CLOSE look
This is a Poinsettia, that we received as a gift at Christmas
……it’s still blooming!

This is one of the plants, hiding behind my dining room table.
My hubbie came running in the house the other morning, and told me to get the camera. I was in the shower, however…so he grabbed the camera, not realizing it was still in manual…thanks to me! He took a couple shots of these little creatures, hiding out, under the bushes in our front yard. The pictures really stink however, since it was in Manual instead of Auto. Look
closely…maybe you can still see the little duckies. The mother was warming about 14 little ones. Once she spotted the picture taker, she moved her little duckies somewhere else. I was a bit sad, I wanted to get some better pictures. Maybe they will return.
Ducks please come back, so we can take better pictures!
